Kevin Porter jr assault case

Today I’m going to talk about Kevin Porter Jr and him being arrested on assault charges in New York on Monday September 11. Porter plays for the Houston Rockets and he was an upcoming superstar in the league but this may have hurt him tremendously with his career. The assault happened with his girlfriend. He went out and his girlfriend was left at the hotel so she went to sleep and when he got back the door was locked so he found a way to get in the room and he started beating her while she was asleep. The beating didn’t stop until she ran in the hallway with her face all bloody and after it ended she had a bruise around her neck, trouble breathing and a fractured vertebra. Porter just got a 60 million dollar contract extension and that’s about to go all down the drain. He was told to stay away from his girlfriend that he assaulted and he was released on a 100k bond. He is only 23 years old and he plead not guilty to felony assault and strangulation. Has had a history of abusing his girlfriend and one incident when he rammed his car into hers. Porter is set to be back in court on October 16 the day they have a preseason game. His organization the Rockets haven’t commented on it yet and the NBA hasn’t either. This is nothing new for the NBA this has happened to other players but in my opinion this is the worst one.
